College Credit Test Study Overview

IFY Homeschool is committed to helping kids make the most of their high school years by earning college credit while completing their high school competency requirements.

In order to accomplish this goal, IFY Homeschool has extensively researched various college testing for credit options and college.

After this thorough research, the degree program we have chosen to implement is the…

Business knowledge is a requirement in any industry. Given the nature of our situation as homeschoolers, many of our kids don’t know what they want to be when they grow up yet (a lot of adults don’t either 😉 ). Using this track for our studies makes common sense since many very educated professionals have expressed regret not having a basic business understanding when they went into their chosen profession.

College Test Study List

This is the list of college tests (CLEP, DSST, etc.) that we will be using to complete as many requirements by testing PRIOR to enrolling in the college as a student.

Sample Weekly Schedule

This is the schedule we will use to study for these exams is below. As you can see, there is plenty of room for other homeschooling (music lessons, sports, etc.) and family activities . We participate in the Arise Speech & Debate Club, so we have a full day of club and other homework activities throughout the week. We are also part of a homeschool group, so we regularly meet for other activities.

Unit Breakdown

As you can see above, I’ve broken down the testing schedule into 3 modules; Main Unit, Sub Unit 1, and Sub Unit 2. Since different kids are at different levels in their individual learning level, I’ve attempted to break where I think it makes sense for the most kids to be able to participate together. I’ve broken each of these down in terms of pricing as well.

Main Unit

The main module is designed to take 3 hours per day of study, 3 days a week, PLUS 2 hours of online quiz/discussion time with other kids. This is 11 hours total study per week for the the main module alone.

Sun Unit 1

This is our math track, mainly. Since we will move past math requirements specifically, this unit will eventually become more business based. However, I have attempted to keep it mainly math focused, since I wanted to limit subjects like math to 1 hour a day as much as possible.

Sub Unit 2

This is our language track, again mainly. As we move past our language art requirements this unit will be a mix of various subjects.

Mix & Match Pricing

All pricing includes the full Microsoft Office Suite, Quizlet Group Games, and all Study.com resources applicable to the courses enrolled in. Also available are custom content courses for any other subject for your child to study. Choose from any of Study.com listed courses to choose one that you’re interested in. Let us know what you need.

Individual Prices

Main Unit = $25/Month

Sub Units = $7/Month

Custom Units = $10/Month

Package Pricing

Main Unit + 1 Sub Unit = $30

Main Unit + 2 Sub Units = $35
